MILAN - This is the official letter which the Rossoneri's general manager, Adriano Galliani sent as a salute to the Milan club for the gathering of the old Rossoneri glories of the 1960s which will be held tomorrow, May 29, at Guastalla (Reggio Emilia):
From 2010 to 1965, a jump back in time, 45 long years which have the same dream, the same emotions, and one great passion: that of raising to the sky, the symbol of many sacrifices and many hopes, of many desires and many adventures.
This is what happened last April 14, 2010, when the lads of our Primavera won the Primavera Trophy TIM Cup, a joy, a satisfaction without end for all those and for the club who always follows closely the growth and progress of the future Rossoneri champions.
This is what happened 45 years ago, on May 16, 1965, when the lads of back then, today men who have chosen different careers, felt the same great emotion, that of winning for the first time in Milan's history, the Primavera Italian league.
Lads of today and of yesterday, we can say, but still lads. With all the strength, with all the passion, with all the will to give their best and especially with that ability of exciting and give hope for the future. Milan's youth sector is this. That is why I speak to you who went through this unforgettable experience, but also to those who have been part of our youth category, enriching it everyday, helping us build a name which is now in the history of our glorious club. I speak to you to remind of a special past, which in time became glorious for all the Milan supporters, but also to thank you and hope that the future is always built on basis of special memories, on the basis of real passion, of loyalty and individuality which makes special, what makes football, for us, the best sport in the world.
